Pratt Tree Farm is a working farm out in the country southeast of town, not a storefront with a counter and set hours. Most days somebody is out in the rows rather than standing by a phone, so hours aren't posted anywhere online. A quick call before you head out saves you a wasted trip down SE 25th Avenue.
When you call, it helps to have a few things ready: what you're hoping to plant, how much sun or shade the spot gets, roughly how big a tree or shrub you want, and whether you'll be able to haul a heavy, balled and burlapped root ball or would rather work with something lighter in a container.

Bring a truck or trailer if you think you'll want a larger, balled and burlapped tree to take home the same day. Smaller container stock travels fine in most vehicles.
